Helsingør - A place where a wedding photographer can relax
All right, let's be totally honest. My tank for new places and going abroad was screaming for new adventures. I wanted to feel inspired, and free. Just walking around without any plans. No plans what so ever. I needed it, my soul was screaming for it. And this weekend I got all that I wanted.
We were in Helsingborg to photograph an amazing wedding this weekend. We are talking a relaxed, intimate wedding on a manison by the sea here. I was loving every second of it!
And we decided to extend our trip with one night so we could take the boad over to Helsingør, and I am so glad that we did. I fell in love with that town from the first step of the boat. (How gorgeous can a train station be??). And we had no plans, no routes we just walked. What we didn't know was the it was the European championship in Iron man that weekend, and they were running right thru the city. But that just made our trip so much more special, everyone was cheering and was so happy. The city really was alive.
As we were walking around looking at all the little beautiful houses in all colors, we could hear them cheering in the background. And I was calmer than ever. Because, what meditation really have teached me is that the calmness comes from the inside. And with everyone so happy, and the beautiful city, the beautiful weather and walking hand in hand with Crille. I really was in my happy calm place.
And one thing I really love is when good things just happens because of other circumstances. If Iron Man hadn't blocked off a huge part of the city, we wouldn't have been trapped on one side of the road, so we woudn't have strated following the signs about food. We would probaly have taken a cute restaurant on the main street and never eaten at the place we did. It was called street food and it was a warehouse filld with different food trucks. And it was so nice and the food was so good! And otherwise I am sure that we would have missed it. So I am so happy that Iron Man was there just on that day.
